Menstrual Health Support
Without menstrual products or basic health information, many girls in rural Mali stay home several days each month. Over a school year, that can add up to months of lost class time.
Mali Rising keeps girls in class all year long, providing reusable menstrual health kits and nurse-led health education in our partner schools.
Since 2016, Mali Rising has provided menstrual kits and health education sessions to more than 3,500 girls in partner schools.
Inspiration Scholarships
In Mali, one of the poorest countries in the world, many families can't afford to continue their children's education. Only 30% of students who finish middle school go on to high school.
Mali Rising helps graduates keep learning, awarding Inspiration Scholarships for high school, university, or vocational training.
Since 2016, Mali Rising has helped 115 alumni from partner schools continue their education through Inspiration Scholarships.
